Where’s Greggo, again????

As one poster said, time for an update to this site, and without question.  However the question remains the same, Where’s Greggo?

He’s Back?

http://blogs.dallasobserver.com/unfairpark/2008/03/theres_greggo.php#more

Ready to bring him back?

I believe its time to concede that the show needs Greg back. Mike, Corby and Danny have been doing a decent job during Greg’s absence, however, it’s just different level. Mark adds quite a bit when he is there, but he’s never going to give up his Mavs gig. So, Greggo anyone?

What? Major announcement?

Does anyone else think the “Major” announcement on the ticket was a bit over hyped? Or I even challenge a huge mistake? How many people knew that Michael Irvin was going to be debuting on 103.3 before this “Major” Ticket announcement?  And is anything a “major” announcement when the Plano Centre website beats you to it?

Self Destruction

More and more it seems that there is some big self destruction going on……anyone?

What Now?

What is going to happen with afternoon drive now?   What do you want to happen that won’t?

Love him, Hate him, Careless about him? Time to move on……

I don’t know that it really matters if you love Greg or hate Greg.  It seems that the situation has become too jacked up for everyone and it’s time for everyone to move on…..

None of our business?

I can stop listening, I know…..  At any point I can change the radio station, I know.  I am a moron and an idiot, I know.  Now that all that is out of the way…..

Public and private lives are an issue we all deal with on a daily basis.  Some tend to keep them very separate, some blur those lines.  The Ticket built a radio station on breaking down those walls between public and private.  Some hosts bring more personal to the table than others, but nonetheless as Richie Whitt said far better than I ever could, The Ticket has thrived on camaraderie.

You have asked us to be a part of your life, you have asked for us to feel for you.  (Yes we can change the station)  But we accept the date, than all of a sudden the door is slammed in our face.  Similarly to the indignant response when I divorced my wife.  When look for explanation and understanding from the same people who just shut us out, the response is TO LEAVE GREGGO ALONE!  Look to Gordon for perspective, TO LEAVE GORDO ALONE!  Yea, he’s human, but he also gives very well thought out perspective from their side as well.  And by the way, he has commented in the past on similar issues.  Personally it’s out of respect that his opinion is sought.

I imagine far more of us understand and live the corporate world than The Hardline.  We could all be so lucky that they have the only wheels off work situation.   I’m sure they are the only ones to step over a co-worker’s mid-morning nap in the bathroom from their drunken stupor.  I think it’s reasonable to ask for time, for understanding, for whatever you need.  Ask for boundaries, I bet most people would respect those.  Just don’t slam the door.  None of these things cross the boundary into Greg’s life until he wants to address that.  We all know this has to be dramatically impacting each of the hosts as well.

The Marconi Award winning Ticket has been successful and getting us to be their buddy.  Be it pathetic lives and nothing to live for, but sites like this exist cause of the appreciation for the void you fill, show us a little understanding in return.

Maybe I will just change the station to 990.
