None of our business?

I can stop listening, I know…..  At any point I can change the radio station, I know.  I am a moron and an idiot, I know.  Now that all that is out of the way…..

Public and private lives are an issue we all deal with on a daily basis.  Some tend to keep them very separate, some blur those lines.  The Ticket built a radio station on breaking down those walls between public and private.  Some hosts bring more personal to the table than others, but nonetheless as Richie Whitt said far better than I ever could, The Ticket has thrived on camaraderie.

You have asked us to be a part of your life, you have asked for us to feel for you.  (Yes we can change the station)  But we accept the date, than all of a sudden the door is slammed in our face.  Similarly to the indignant response when I divorced my wife.  When look for explanation and understanding from the same people who just shut us out, the response is TO LEAVE GREGGO ALONE!  Look to Gordon for perspective, TO LEAVE GORDO ALONE!  Yea, he’s human, but he also gives very well thought out perspective from their side as well.  And by the way, he has commented in the past on similar issues.  Personally it’s out of respect that his opinion is sought.

I imagine far more of us understand and live the corporate world than The Hardline.  We could all be so lucky that they have the only wheels off work situation.   I’m sure they are the only ones to step over a co-worker’s mid-morning nap in the bathroom from their drunken stupor.  I think it’s reasonable to ask for time, for understanding, for whatever you need.  Ask for boundaries, I bet most people would respect those.  Just don’t slam the door.  None of these things cross the boundary into Greg’s life until he wants to address that.  We all know this has to be dramatically impacting each of the hosts as well.

The Marconi Award winning Ticket has been successful and getting us to be their buddy.  Be it pathetic lives and nothing to live for, but sites like this exist cause of the appreciation for the void you fill, show us a little understanding in return.

Maybe I will just change the station to 990.

The station won the Marconi because of the previous success, not because of what is going on now. What goes up will come down. Now we have the SOFTLINE, so learn to live with it.
    STAY SOFT SOFTIES!!

Everyone knows that The Ticket stopped being a sports station a few years ago. The Musers and Norm are about as close as you come if your looking for sports on 1310. After those guys sign off….the station takes a nose dive into the other hosts self gratification. Their personal views on music, video games/tv, what’s gay, and what’s going on in their lives seem to be more important than sports. Try this, the next time E news starts…count how many time “The Cobra” starts on a story- then quickly mis-directs into his own personal life. Danny will try to bring him back to E news, then again..it’s mis-directed by Mike. I try to listen in the PM hours, but find myself wishing for The Ticket of the 90’s.

I am sick of the Hardline anyway. it’s just become a TMZ of radio- Downer Danny and Crackvoice Corby- and seldom do i hear much on sports. Rhyner just grunts anymore. so at noon i just say “Stickit to the Ticket” and punch in a new station; not 93.3.

We Don't Need No Stinkin Greggo! Says:

I think the hardline is fine without Greggo. They are not going downhill, the station just won a Marconi! Everyone goes through the “I’m getting tired of the ticket” and does not listen for a while, but they always come back! I for one am sick of Greggo not being able to make a point and stick with it without letting someone else change his opinion – mid sentence! All of Greggo’s comments are taken from a newspaper or off of the interent, and he never really had any original thoughts or words to say. With that said, hearing the human drop machine say stupid stuff all the time was one of ther reasons he was loved – you always felt smarter than Greggo…so long Hammer!!! (Greggo says) “no! no! no!”

The way the ticket in general is acting this way is so hypocritical. I am sure that they will be asking questions about Barry Bonds. I am sure they will speculate what’s going on with that situation. BUT…..when it’s one of their own, whoa, they all go hide behind laws. They could talk about this in some manner if they choose. But no one wants to comment, we are idiots for continuing to listen. And I know I am in that group…….Shoot me.

Rhyner has not contributed in a long time, the P-1’s are the victim.
